Information provided by the Artist: June Edmonds (b. 1959, Los Angeles, CA) is a painter known for memorializing significant moments in Black history, imbuing cultural memory through strategies of abstraction and meditation. Collections include the Crocker Art Museum, Sacramento, CA; California African American Museum, Los Angeles, CA; Mead Art Museum, Amherst College, Amhurst, MA; Davis Museum, Wellesley College, Wellesley, MA; David Owsley Museum, Ball State University, Muncie, IN; Petrucci Family Foundation Collection of African American Art, Asbury, NJ; and others. Edmonds holds an MFA from Tyler School of Art, Philadelphia, PA and a BA from San Diego State University, CA. She is the recipient of numerous prizes including the 2022 Guggenheim Fellowship.
To pick up your artwork at the Crocker Art Museum, appointments will be available on Sunday, June 14 and Monday, June 15. Buyers may also ship their work at their own expense. Upon payment of the invoice, winning bidders will receive more information about artwork pick up and shipping.
