Fair market value: $700Information provided by the Artist: June Edmonds (b. 1959, Los Angeles, CA) is a painter known for memorializing significant moments in Black history, imbuing cultural memory through strategies of abstraction and meditation. Collections include the Crocker Art Museum, Sacramento, CA; California African American Museum, Los Angeles, CA; Mead Art Museum, Amherst College, Amhurst, MA; Davis Museum, Wellesley College, Wellesley, MA; David Owsley Museum, Ball State University, Muncie, IN; Petrucci Family Foundation Collection of African American Art, Asbury, NJ; and others. Edmonds holds an MFA from Tyler School of Art, Philadelphia, PA and a BA from San Diego State University, CA. She is the recipient of numerous prizes including the 2022 Guggenheim Fellowship.
