The Crocker Art Museum's Silent Auction features over 100 original works of art by emerging artists and some of the biggest names in the Sacramento region and beyond. Fair market value: $1,600Information provided by the Artist: Lynn Criswell is a painter and object maker with artwork in private and public collections throughout United States and Europe. From 2010–2020, she maintained a studio in Istanbul, Turkey. Her most recent exhibition in Sacramento was with B. Sakata Garo in 2022. “When small mindedness makes me crazy, I focus on the natural world and the lessons to be learned. The studio gives me pause, gives me disciplined focus and a framework for making paintings/constructions meaningful to these times. Contemplation and simple meditation are natural states for me in the studio, in the making process, curating ideas, understanding moods, feeling safe, feeling vulnerable and dealing with doubt … like herding cats, it doesn’t always come easily.”

To pick up your artwork at the Crocker Art Museum, appointments will be available on Friday, June 13 and Saturday, June 14. Buyers may also ship their work at their own expense. Upon payment of the invoice, winning bidders will receive more information about artwork pick up and shipping.
