Known for her fearless exploration of texture and bold color, Rae utilizes everything from acrylics to upcycled materials to breathe life into the overlooked. A cornerstone of the Northern California art scene, Rae’s extensive exhibition history includes a 31-piece solo show and showcases across the Bay Area. As a passionate member of Art of the African Diaspora (AOTAD), she advocates for the visibility of Black excellence in the arts. While typically a solitary creator, her recent collaboration with artist Robert Simmons highlights her evolving, collaborative spirit. For Rae, art is a spiritual lifeline. Through therapeutic sessions and community curation, she shares her belief that "art is life." Her work remains a vibrant bridge between imagination, healing, and the power of the diaspora.

To pick up your artwork at the Crocker Art Museum, appointments will be available on Sunday, June 14 and Monday, June 15. Buyers may also ship their work at their own expense. Upon payment of the invoice, winning bidders will receive more information about artwork pick up and shipping.
