Beautiful pre-Prohibition tip tray from Star Union Brewing Co. of Peru, Illinois. Copyrighted 1907 by The Meek Company, whose mark appears at the lower edge of the image. Features a striking side-profile portrait of a young Edwardian woman rendered in classic early 20th-century advertising style. The tray displays exceptional artistic quality with warm colors, elegant typography, and a sophisticated presentation that epitomizes the Golden Age of breweriana advertising.
The sleeve board border carrying the advertising message, "Drink Star Union Brewing Co.'s Pure Beers," creates strong visual contrast with the central image.
Condition
Condition is very good overall with scattered chips, wear, and age-related crazing visible primarily in the border and background areas. The central portrait remains exceptionally attractive and displays beautifully.
