- Lot Description
This collection comprises 19 vintage scarves and handkerchiefs, predominantly square with one elongated rectangular example. The lot is confirmed to be crafted from mostly silk and some polyester. Dating likely to the mid-20th century, the collection showcases a diverse array of printed motifs including whimsical animals such as poodles, terriers, bunnies, dachshunds, and greyhounds. Other designs feature illustrative travel maps, notably a "Summer Islands" Bermuda map dated "Anno 1975," abstract patterns, nautical scenes, Japanese landscapes depicting Mount Fuji and cherry blossoms, Egyptian hieroglyphs, and European townscapes. Thematic designs include "Traffic Jam" and "Curio Shop," both signed "Simone," "Bunny Boy by Suzy Simpson," sewing tools, gift boxes, and umbrellas. Visible labels on individual pieces indicate materials such as "ALL SILK" and "Hand Rolled Pure Silk," with one example bearing an "ALL ACETATE" label. Origins are indicated as "MADE IN ENGLAND" and "MADE IN JAPAN." In house Flat Rate Shipping of $10 is a domestic shipping estimate for first lot and includes insurance. We will gladly combine multiple lots for your convenience and economy. Each additional lot we can pack in the same box is $5 each.
