There are three arpilleras from Peru and each is made with cotton. These pieces are made by women called Arpilleristas typically in the Andes or Lima. They are a vibrant, 3D textured, and hand sewn patchwork tapestries. There is a wedding and two scenes of daily rural life. On one tapestry, rural life is depicted with women cleaning clothes, wood being harvested, crops being attended to, and more. A plastic basket is attached. On another tapestry, there are women walking around with fruit, an alligator, and depictions of crops to be harvested. The last piece is titled Matrimonio or Wedding. It features the bride, groom, wedding party, and guests outside of a church. There are cars on the street. On the back, there is a small pocket with a handwritten note that details the scene. The edges on each are created with brightly colored crochet. They are in good/fair condition with the undersides having some spots or slight toning.
