- Lot Description
Five Vintage Eastern European Vests. The lot consists of five traditional Eastern European vests. Featured are five traditional Eastern European vests in various sizes and featuring silk, cotton, and more fabrics. Included in this lot is a floral printed best with a dark blue background and lace trim. The chest of the best features silver intricate spiral patterns, sequins, and braided purple trim with yellow and purple braiding. There are hook and eye closures. The fabric is a mixture of old and new which is shown through the newly added lace trim. Laid flat, it has the following measurements: Length: 21", Waist: 16", and Shoulders: 12". Included as well is a light blue silk brocade best with pink, silver, and gold trim alongside sequins. The flowers that are featured are white and there are some floral patterns alongside the folds of the best. White buttons serve as a closure and there is lace trim at the bottom of the best. Laid flat, it has the following measurements: Length: 17", Waist: 14", and Shoulders: 10". Included is a yellow silk brocade best with embroidered florals on the front of the best. The florals are purple, pink, blue, and green. Sequins and trim are applied to the front of the best and there is a blue zig zag border for the red buttons. Laid flat, it has the following measurements: Length: 16", Waist: 17", and Shoulders: 10". There is a pink silk brocade best with colorful florals and intricate designs on the chest. There is a purple lace trim at the bottom and pink braided trim. The florals are in pink, blue, green, and silver and it features a green border for the buttons. There is only one pink button that remains as the others are gone alongside some fading and small spots. The vibrant design continues on the back with trim aligning with shoulder blades. Laid flat, it has the following measurements: Length: 15", Waist: 16", and Shoulders: 11". The final piece in the lot is a blue silk brocade best with intricate spiral-like silver trim. There are florals, sequins, pink trim, and lace featured on the best. The buttons are several colors and different designs as well. Laid flat, it has the following measurements; Length: 15", Waist: 17", and Shoulders: 11". The lot is overall in good/fair condition with fading, lost buttons, spots, and toning present on some of the pieces. Each best has toning and spots featured on the lining.
