• Lot Description
  Late 19th Century Ladies Dress and Blouse. The lot includes a mix of ladies 19th century cotton clothing. Featuring a late 19th century matching skirt and blouse made of a textured sheer cotton with a printed black wavy pattern. The blouse has a hand embroidered white cotton yolk with floral and geometric hand eyelet accents at the front and pin tucks at the back, a ruffled flounce at the bust, a pigeon chested midsection, three quarter length sleeves with ruffled trim, and mother of pearl buttons and hook and eyes at the back. The matching full length skirt features a flounce with ruffled tri, and hook and eye closures at the waist. Laying flat the pairing measures: (Blouse) Shoulders: 13'', Bust: 20'', Sleeves: 12.5'', Length: 17'', Waist: 12''.(Skirt) Waist: 13'', Length: 44.5''. The set is in fair condition with toning throughout, spots, rusted hook and eyes, and a few areas where the trim has come unsewn. Also included is a late 19th century womens blouse made of purple and white striped cotton with a mandarin collar with a button hole at the back for attaching a collar, pin tucks at the front yolk creating a loose layover effect at the bust, slightly blouse sleeves, ties at the back, and a single remaining mother of pearl button. Laying flat it measures: Shoulders: 12'', Bust: 15.5'', Sleeve: 23.5'', Length: 18.5''. In fair condition with missing buttons, faint spots, and toning.
