The sheet iron articulated figure of a lion with heart-shaped target release and original conveyor mechanism to implement the rocking action. A shot to the heart releases the head which falls forward. This rare C. W. Parker example is in sheet iron rather than cast iron and is the only known example of its type. Pictured on page 33 of Sellers' book (Figure 2.11) and in Parker's Catalog of Shooting Galleries, Gallery No. 1 on page 3 and Models 6 on page 8 and 7 on page 23. This ranks among the earliest of Parker targets judging by its construction. This is the only example the Tuckers have seen or heard of in their 30 years of collecting.
