- Lot Description
"America" limited edition 44/200 silver miniature yacht by designer Janna Thomas de Velarde from Taxco, Mexico. Janna was internationally known for her silver work and previously designed for Tiffanty&Co. This speciific model of the 1851 racing yacht "America" features an intricate gold wash over the silver details to recreating the yacht. The combination of the stilver craftsmanship and intricate gold vermil work are highly prized by maritime collectors and vintage silver enthusiasts. Yacht alone measures 5""H x 6"W x 1"W, and weighs 108.19 grams. Actual silver content is unknown. Base alone measures 1.75"H x 9"W x 4"D. Total overall with plexi glass cover measures 8.25"H x 9"Wx 4" D. Circular gold stamp on front sail. Plaque and limited edition number located on lower front. Good condition. See photos.

14) SHIPPING AND PICK-UP
All shipping, packaging, transportation, insurance, taxes, duties, and related fees are the sole responsibility of the Buyer. Please request shipping quotes from your chosen shipper before bidding.
Pick up is available the week following an auction.
Hours: Tuesday - Friday 11 am - 4:30pm and Saturday 11am - 3pm.We have limited in-house shipping services and only ship within the continental US. We ship via USPS insured for small, uncomplicated, non-fragile items valued at less than $500.
IF in-house shipping is available for a lot, we will include the cost of shipping and handling in the item description. Insurance is mandatory, based on the invoice price,and the cost of shippng/handling/ insurance will be added to your invoice.
Buyers may use any shipper of their choice.
