- Lot Description
An Antique Black Forest Carved Wood Wall Bracket Console Shelf, late 19th century. This decorative architectural plinth is carved from a single piece of lindenwood or walnut, featuring a shaped top display platform with carved edge molding. The structural support underneath showcases deep-relief, pierce-carved forest life motifs. A prominent central bird with outspread wings is depicted diving toward a detailed bird's nest tucked among a cluster of oak leaves, gnarled branches, and blooming forest flowers. Unsigned. Condition: Good antique condition overall. The wood carving possesses a warm, rich golden-brown patina with excellent depth and fine texture. Note: There is a visible chip on the tip of the primary bird's tail feathers (see close-up photos). No major missing branches or structural cracks to the main display platform. Minor surface dust within the deep crevices. Two original metal hanging loops or recesses are present on the flat reverse for wall mounting. 11" H x 13.5" W x 8" D

14) SHIPPING AND PICK-UP
All shipping, packaging, transportation, insurance, taxes, duties, and related fees are the sole responsibility of the Buyer. Please request shipping quotes from your chosen shipper before bidding.
Pick up is available the week following an auction.
Hours: Tuesday - Friday 11 am - 4:30pm and Saturday 11am - 3pm.We have limited in-house shipping services and only ship within the continental US. We ship via USPS insured for small, uncomplicated, non-fragile items valued at less than $500.
IF in-house shipping is available for a lot, we will include the cost of shipping and handling in the item description. Insurance is mandatory, based on the invoice price,and the cost of shippng/handling/ insurance will be added to your invoice.
Buyers may use any shipper of their choice.
