The circular body with gadrooned rim and upswept scrolling handles, the cover with a coronet finial, the stand with foliate handles. Height overall 10 3/4 inches, length of stand 18 1/4 inches, total approximately 214 ounces.
The arms are those of Molyneux impaling Craven for William Philip Molyneux (1772-1838), 2nd Earl of Sefton, who marri in 1792, Maria Margaret Craven (1769-1851), daughter of Wiliam Craven, 6th Baron Craven.

The 2nd Earl of Sefton was a sportsman and gambler, and known as "Lord Dashalong" for his penchant for racing through the streets of London in his carriage. The Countess of Sefton held a prominent role as Lady Patroness of London’s Almack’s Assembly Rooms.
