UnframedAttributed to Jules-Marie-Auguste Leroux, Academic Work: Study of a Male Nude with a Stick - This work is unframed, with significant wear to the extreme edges and overlap, including some breaks to the canvas. Some larger areas of exposed canvas (not painted on) are discolored. Along the lower horizontal edge, there is evidence of water damage (this is mostly visible on the reverse, though there are retouchings visible on the recto to address some wear). Overall, the work would benefit from cleaning and stabilization around the edges. There is a patch on the reverse that appears to correspond to a repaired tear to the center of the left vertical edge. Under UV light, there are scattered areas of inpainting visible throughout. European School, Academic Work: Study of a Male Nude with a Belt - Very faint vertical abrasions to the subject's ear and just below the chin. Under UV light, some areas in the background in the lower half fluoresce, though this might be due to discolored varnish or adhesive when the canvas was laid to the panel. This work is also unframed.Condition
