The assymmetrical rocaille case cast and chased with scrolling acanthus and C-scrolls, surmounted by a gilt-bronze figure with dog, the circular enamel dial with enameled cartouche panels with Roman and Arabic numerals set within a chased gilt-bronze surround, with pierced steel hands, the movement signed Charost a Paris, with twin train and countwheel striking on a bell; the lower section with with a glazed aperture above an elaborate rocaille cartauche flanked by female busts, the clock resting on a matching bracket.
