The Property of a Distinguished Private Collection
Circa 1880
The arched case surmounted by a scrolling finial and floral urn, the waisted body inset with tortoise shell and Boulle brass marquetry, the dial surmounted by a gilt-bronze mascaron and framed by scrolling foliage, with enamel scepter ring with Roman numerals and outer minute track and twin windingholes. The movement with twin train striking and countwheel strike and inscribed, set on a plinth base decorated en suite.
The white enamel dial inscribed Polti.... Aine, Horloger.
