Brassaï. Paris: Editions Neuf, 1952. A presentation copy from Brassaï, inscribed opposite the title for Leo Farland in 1957. Publisher's red cloth with printed portrait on upper cover. 11 x 8 inches (28 x 23 cm); photographically illustrated within, the text in French. A few scratches to cover, lightly soiled, some stains on back cover; With two inscribed photographs by Brassaï laid-in. The first Tour Eiffel, feux d'artifice, 1933, later gelatin silver print, 9 1/8 x 5 1/4 inches (233 x 134 mm), the verso inscribed as a New Year's greeting by Brassaï and his wife Gilberte and dated 1963. Some fingerprints, the ferrotyping with some minor crazing, minor creases; the second a portrait of Brassaï and his wife Gilberte in Genoa. Gelatin silver print, 5 1/8 x 8 5/8 inches (107 x 220 mm), the verso inscribed as a New Year's greeting by Brassaï and his wife Gilberte and dated 1958. Folded vertically in two places, apparently by Brassai, some indentation from the inscription, minor wear and creasing.
Also laid-in are two printed exhibition announcements.
