Polish/American, 1906-1989 Breakdown, 1952 Titled and dated Breakdown 1952 on the reverse and later inscribed Irving Norman Oil on canvas 62 x 29 3/4 inches (157.5 x 75.6cm) Provenance: Jan Holloway Fine Art, San Francisco Acquired from the above by the current owner in 1996Frame: 62 3/4 x 30 1/2 inches
Condition
The work is in good condition overall. The canvas is stretched well and the surface is smooth. There are two small areas of paint loss on the upper left quadrant and a line of paint of loss along the right extreme edge as a result of abrasion.
