(i) The paper has been joined and laid to a larger support sheet; this was done by the artist as he worked through compositional changes to the design. (ii) Unexamined out of the frame; the sheet is toned; creases at corners; minor stains and soiling.(iii) Unexamined out of the frame; foxing.
