Property from a Collector of Russian and European Art
Description:
5 Russian Painted Eggs, including 2 large painted eggs with stands and 3 smaller eggs with one stand. The largest egg signed Sakhnova E. 1993 and marked Moscow on verso depicts a triptych of figures with the center panel depicting the Viring embracing the infant Christ flanked by two side panels picturing haloed saints alongside red inscriptions in Russian. The second largest egg untitled and unsigned depicts a scene of crowned figures gathered with a group of red and gold robed men. Two medium sized eggs are abstractly painted in tones of yellow, white, and green on red base. Smallest egg is abstractly/geometrically painted in tones of red, tan, and green on a brown base.Measurements: Height: of largest: 7 in. x Width: 4 in.
Condition:
Good condition, minor rubbing to some paint and minor wear and scratches.
