Property of Doug Engh, Gainesville, FL
Description:
Attributed to Etienne Jeaurat, Interior Scene Drinking Chocolate, Oil on Canvas, unsigned, depicting a genre scene with women and children seated together having drinking chocolate, with faint exhibition stamps on verso of canvas and on stretcher, in a giltwood frame with artist plaque. Frame size: 28 1/2 in. x 34 in. Provenance: From the collection of Arthur Warren Kinkade Jr. (1919-1987), prominent banker in Wichita, Kansas, by decent to the consignor.Measurements: Height: by sight 22 in. x Width: 28 1/2 in.
Condition:
Good restored condition, craquelure, yellowing to varnish, scattered areas of inpainting throughout, possible repaired tear in womans white skirt, stretcher mark across top edge, wear, cracking and minor losses to frame.
