Property from a Private Collector, Savannah, GA
Description:
Pair of George III White Painted Open Armchairs, 18th Century, each with shaped pierced back flanked by open arms centering an overupholstered seat with serpentine front, raised on circular tapering legs.Measurements: Height: 37 in. x Width: 22 3/4 in. x Depth: 18 1/2 in.
Condition:
Chair 1: Breaks to base of backrest in need of restoration, old repairs to arms. Chair 2: Old repair to base of backrest, one arm cracked and in need of repair and other arm has a large chip on bottom of arm support, and old repairs to armrests and chips to front of seat rail. Both chairs with losses of paint throughout, wear to edges, old worm damage, in need of reupholstery.
