Description:
Shakyamini Buddha Painted on Leather and Framed Thangka Painting, a Thangka painting with central Buddha figure in a giltwood frame, canvas mounted to cardboard; together with a Thangka depicting a multi-armed wrathful deity painted on black leather hide, unframed. Dimensions of hide: 30 in. x 24 in.Measurements: Height: of frame 32 1/4 in. x Width: 25 1/4 in.
Condition:
Overall good condition, hide with cracking and minor losses to paint, wear to edges, multiple pin holes in edges, some creasing, framed work loose in frame, canvas surface slightly wavy, some craquelure, minor marks and scratches to surface.
