A 1960s 9ct gold ruby necklace. The textured fancy-link chain, with circular-shape ruby crescent wreath, suspending fan motif terminal similarly-designed chain drops. Hallmarks for London, 1966. Length 41cms. Weight 53.7gms.
Overall condition fair to good. Some surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and minor dents in keeping with general age and wear. Length does not include drop, length of drop including ruby boss 6.8cms. Rubies are a well matched slightly purplish red hue, well saturated, with fair to good clarity and typical inclusions. Stones in good condition with minor abrasions. Maker's mark EJ Ld. Please see the Important Notices for Purchasers for coloured gemstones.
