A 19th century Anglo-Indian coromandel sewing box South India/Sri Lanka (Ceylon) Of wavy oblong form, the hinged cover inlaid to the underside with a flowering plant, over a compartmentalised tray with seven marquetry lids and two bobbin reels, on bun feet, 13.5 x 9 x 5.75 high, (34cm x 23cm x 14.5cm).
Light scratching and minor cracks to top. Stops to support tray have been reduced. Some compartment divisions missing/warped.
