BID ON THE-SALEROOM
A French white marble clock and stand The 3.25-inch white Roman dial inscribed with Versailles retailer (name indistinct), Breguet hands, the two-train movement outside countwheel-striking on a bell, stamped A.L. 1732, the Carrara marble case with rococo-style shell and scroll edging on conforming stand, 14.5, (37cm) high overall.
Retailer's name rubbed. Dial and movement probably associated to case - does not fit flush within surround as bezel is too flared/large. No pendulum or winder. Veining over central apron. One front support of clock is cracked through and repaired.
