BID ON THE-SALEROOM
A George III silver mustard pot with blue glass liner, of plain cylindrical form with reeded rims, engraved monogram, loop handle and ball finial to the hinged lid. Hallmarked London 1803 with maker's mark NH, either Henry Nutting or Hannah Northcote. Maximum height measures 3 inches (7.5 cm), silver weight 3.92 ozt (122 grams).
The mustard pot appears in fairly good overall condition, displaying some general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. The hinged lid appears in good working order, there are a couple of minor dints around the edge. Rubbing to monogram and loss of definition. The hallmarks are clear and legible, also clear part hallmark to lid. Glass liner appears in good condition and is likely a replacement.
