BID ON THE-SALEROOM
A George IV silver card case, the rectangular form ornately chased with scrolling foliage surrounding a flower motif to the front within an eight pointed star, and a vacant shield cartouche verso. Hallmarked Taylor & Perry, Birmingham 1829. Measuring 9 cm by 6.2 cm, weight 79 grams.
The case appears in fairly good overall condition, displaying some general wear, tarnishing, surface scratches and marks. Slightly heavier wear around edges and small dints to a couple of the corners. Hinged lid appears in working order. The hallmarks appear a little rubbed but are still clearly legible.
