A hardstone cameo, by Morelli. The oval-shape hardstone cameo, carved to depict a blushing lady with floral hair piece and pearl strand, to the late 19th century gold, diamond and enamel mount. Cameo engraved Morelli. French assay marks to pin. Length 3.8cms. Weight 13.5gms.
Overall condition fair. Some surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and minor dents in keeping with general age and wear. Cameo with discoloured crack, running through her hairline and edge of the oval. Repairs/alterations noticeable to the back of the mount. Diamonds well matched. Individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment. Agate is banded, the semi-transluscent areas with numerous flecks of red.
