A large 1940's silver mounted table cigarette box, the hinged domed cover having presentation inscription and opening to reveal a compartmented interior with further later silver mounted presentation plaque to the inner cover. The box hallmarked Birmingham 1945, and the inner plaque hallmarked Charles Solomon Farbey, London 1971. Length measures 8 2/8 inches (21 cm). 'Presented to Victor Parness 1st Captain of the Hustlers Society on the Occasion of the First Annual General Meeting of 5-12-71'. 'The Hustlers Society 1971'.
Overall fair condition with multiple small dents, knocks and marks to exterior with general light surface rubbing and scratching throughout. Hinge in good working order although cover does not close fully. Interior with light signs of use and inner plaque in good condition. Maker's mark to box worn and so illegible, other hallmarks with rubbing but still legible.
