A late 19th century Scottish brooch. Designed as a scalloped-edge central panel of vari-coloured agate pieces, to the acanthus and floral surrounding mount. Length 6.2cms. Weight 29.5gms.
This lot is in fair condition, with scratches, dints and tarnish to the metal surface in keeping with age and wear. The slate mount to the back of the agate is cracked across its centre. Surface reaching hairline crack to one of the agate sections. Some discolouration to the mount. Condition reports are offered as a guide only and we highly recommend inspecting any lot to satisfy yourself as to its condition.
