A late 19th century silver and 18ct gold tiger's-eye, enamel and diamond bee brooch. The striped black enamel and rose-cut diamond body with tiger's-eye cabochon accent, to the rose-cut diamond wings and red gem cabochon eyes. Length 3.5cms. Weight 14.2gms.
Overall condition good. Surface scratches in keeping with general age and wear. Enamel in good condition. Gemstones have light surface scratches and nibbles to the facet edges. Individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment. Cut and setting of rose-cut diamonds prevents total carat weight estimation. The diamonds are fairly bright.
