A late Victorian gold sentimental brooch. Designed as a lover's knot, within an alternating split pearl and turquoise halo, to the replacement bead terminal grooved bar. Length 3.8cms. Weight 3.8gms.
Overall condition fair to good. Some surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and minor dents in keeping with general age and wear. Gem-set section is a likely replacement. Pin is base metal. Clasp in need of minor attention. Personal inscription to reverse 'F. P. 1st June 1899. 'Turquoise medium deep slightly greenish blue hue. Stones mostly in good condition with minor abrasions. One turquoise with small nick. Split pearls well matcehd with mostly minor wear and slight discolouration. Bar stamped 15, rubbed.
