A ruby and diamond dress ring. The oval ruby cabochon collet, within a rose-cut diamond scalloped surround, to the foliate sides and textured band. Approximate ruby dimensions: 10.2 by 9.3 by 4.3mms. Weight 11.7gms.
Overall condition fair. Surface scratches, discolouration and dents in keeping with general wear. Length of cluster 2.2cms. Band shows evidence of resize. Diamond fairly well matched. Individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment. Ruby medium pinkish-red, fairly well saturated, with poor clarity and typical inclusions, some of which are surface reaching and may affect the future durability of the stone. Stones in fair condition with abrasions and significant scratches to the surface. Ring size N. Stamped 585, partially indistinct.
