BID ON THE-SALEROOM
A sapphire and diamond cluster ring. The oval-shape sapphire, within an old-cut diamond surround. Estimated total diamond weight 1.50cts, I-J colour, SI2-P2 clarity. Weight 5.1gms.
Overall condition good to fair. Surface scratches in keeping with general age and wear. Would recommend attention to all settings as some claws worn. Band shows evidence of a resize. The sapphire is a bright dark blue hue, well saturated, with light surface scratches and nibbles to the facet edges. The diamonds are drawing a slight yellow hue, with small central inclusions, some visible without magnification. Most diamonds with small chips to the girdle, three with moderate to significant chips. Ring size O.
