An early 20th century platinum, sapphire and diamond ring. The rectangular-shape sapphire and single-cut diamond sides, within a similarly-set scalloped marquise-shape surround, to the replacement band. One sapphire deficient. Estimated total diamond weight 0.15ct. Weight 2.6gms.
Overall condition good - fair. Minor surface scratches in keeping with general age and wear. Band is replacement and has worn quite thin. The sapphires have a medium blue hue, well saturated and matched with an even distribution of colour. On calibre cut stone on the shoulder is missing. The central stone has minor surface abrasion along the facet edges. Individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment. Overall bright and well matched.
