An early 20th century silver and gold, diamond and gem-set crescent brooch. The alternating graduated circular-shape amethyst and seed pearl crescent, interwoven with vari-cut diamond scrolling foliate spacers. Length 4.6cms. Weight 5.9gms.
Overall condition good. Some surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and minor dents in keeping with general age and wear. General discolouration. Probable replacement pin, slight bends. Diamonds fairly well matched. Estimated total diamond weight under 0.10ct. Individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment. Seed pearls untested for natural origin. Amethyst are a well matched deep medium slightly pinkish purple hue, well saturated, with good clarity and typical inclusions.
