BID ON THE-SALEROOM
An early George III silver soup ladle with shell and scroll terminal and crest engraving to the reverse terminal. Hallmarked London 1761, the maker possibly George Baskerville. Length measuring 12 1/2 inches (32 cm), weight 6.2 ozt (195 grams).
The lot displays general scratches, marks and wear commensurate with the age and use. Heavy tarnishing and would benefit from a clean and polish. Joint between stem and bowl is visible, solder repair to the shoulder of the bowl. The hallmarks are clear and legible. - Shipping Info
