BID ON THE-SALEROOM
An Edwardian silver novelty menu or place card holder, realistically modelled as an owl. Hallmarked Birmingham 1906, maker's mark partly worn. Maximum height measures 5.5 cm, weight 25.5 grams.
The owl appears quite tarnished and the whole would benefit from a clean and polish. There is some general wear, surface scratches and marks. Some rubbing and loss of detail to areas of the feather decoration. The domed base appears quite worn displaying several dints and bumps especially around the rim and to the underside. The hallmarks are clear and legible, maker's mark is partly worn.
