BID ON THE-SALEROOM
An oriental short sword with shagreen scabbard, the 19.5 blade with bronze hilt reeded hardwood grip and cloud pommel, within sheath, 27 (68.5cm) together with a basket-hilt sword, the slightly curved fullered blade 35 long, stamped B13 beneath the crown, with ebonized grip and iron open scroll hilt, in black painted scabbard stamped E K M R (?), 41.5 (105cm) overall. 1 - Blade may have been slightly shortened, tip blunted and some nicks to edge, hilt loose, vacant hold to handle, scabbard split in places, some shagreen missing, one mount loose, general AF. 2 - Blade has light tarnish, pitting and is slightly blunted, but is generally sound, rusting and pitting to hilt, light wear to grip, much flaking to black finish of scabbard.
