PIERRE BALMAIN - a gentleman's chronograph wrist watch. Gold plated case with stainless steel case back. Numbered 542.5940. Unsigned quartz movement with quick date set. Silvered dial with Roman numeral hour markers, subsidiary recorder dials to two, six and ten, date aperture to six. Fitted to an unsigned black leather strap with signed gold plated pin buckle. 36mm. Together with two other gentleman's wrist watches.
Movement is not currently functioning, whether this is due to the need for a new battery or symptomatic of something more serious is unknown. We have therefore been unable to test the chronograph function. Movement has scratches, marks and tarnishing commensurate with general wear visible to the naked eye. Dial appears to have noticeable marks and scratches. Hands show noticeable marks and tarnishing. Glass has some scratches and marks when viewed under a 4x loupe. Case shows scratches, marks and dints. Case appears to be in a fairly dirty condition. Crown is currently functioning correctly; the surface has light scratches and marking. Strap is in a poor condition with noticeable wear, marks, creasing and discolouration. Buckle shows noticeable marks and scratches. There is some lifting of the gold plating. The other two watches in this lot do not appear to be functioning. This lot does not come with box or papers. Fellows do not guarantee the working order or accuracy of any lots sold. Due to opening of the case back we recommend this watch is re-sealed by an authorised technician to ensure any stated water resistance is retained.
