  Sixth plate waist-up studio portrait tintype. N.p.: n.p., circa mid- to late-19th century. Half thermoplastic case. 

   

  A studio portrait of an unidentified Black gentleman. Wearing a fine suit, the subject was almost certainly a freedman.
