Two-piece Virginia-style "CS" belt buckle with original leather belt. Sand cast brass. Buckle 3 1/8 x 2 in. Belt length 28 3/8 in. Kerksis 261 & 265; Mullinax 003-005.
A typical Confederate enlisted man's two-piece tongue and wreath sword belt buckle, still on the original leather belt. Tongue has a sharp stepped-up construction (Kerksis, fig. 261 & 265). Typical of Virginia, probably Richmond, construction.
