SIGNED photograph of Jürgen Prochnow in "Das Boot." With identification plaque. 11 x 8 in., matted and framed to 17 1/2 x 14 1/2 in. Autograph to recto upper right corner.
Starring as a U-boat Captain in Wolfgang Petersen's Das Boot, Jürgen Prochnow earned international acclaim as he portrayed submarine warfare during WWII. His performance was his major breakthrough, introducing Prochnow to Hollywood after captivating audiences with his gruff but principled demeanor, which highlighted the claustrophobic and brutal conditions that would have been endured by men aboard a submarine.
