RARE 1797 BROADSIDE SIGNED IN TYPE BY SAMUEL ADAMS AS GOVERNOR OF MASSACHUSETTS.
Commonwealth of Massachusetts. In the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and ninety-seven: An act in addition to the several Acts now in force, respecting Highways. Boston, Young and Minns, 1797. SIGNED IN TYPE BY SAMUEL ADAMS AS GOVERNOR OF MASSACHUSETTS. ESTC W35698; Evans 32445; Ford 2824; Rink 5395A rare broadside announcing an act to fund and build highways throughout the state. Featuring the state seal at the masthead and text in three columns. Approx. 13 3/8 x 17 1/16 in.
VERY RARE. Only 1 copy has sold at auction in 1968. OCLC locates only 9 copies.
