Inspired by the mythical "World Tree"—the cosmic axis connecting Heaven and Earth—the composition centers around a grand, meticulously detailed oak tree whose roots and branches symbolize the link between earthly and celestial realms.
Encircling the majestic trunk are four richly illustrated panels representing the seasons, each alive with fantastical birds, butterflies, and woodland creatures. Henry’s masterful sense of storytelling and ornamental detail makes Axis Mundi a perennial favorite among Hermes collectors.
