The composition utilizes sweeping curves and fragmented perspectives characteristic of Aeropittura (aeropainting) to convey the speed and mechanical sensation of flight. Signed and dated "CRALI 35" top right. Framed.
Tullio Crali was an Italian artist and a key figure in the second wave of the Futurist movement. Joining the movement in 1929, he became one of the foremost practitioners of Aeropittura, dedicated to expressing the sensory experience of flight. His work often combined technical realism with the aggressive, high-speed aesthetic of modern aviation, seeking to immerse the viewer in the mechanics and atmosphere of the sky.
