The Gray's January Fine Antiques, Art and Decorations Auction features porcelain and art accepted and displayed in Paris. At the Paris Exhibition of 1878, two of a set of eight Minton Cabinet Plates attributed to Christopher Dresser and formerly belonging to Newton A. Rockefeller were exhibited in Paris. Continuing a Parisian theme is the large landscape by Marcel Adolph Bain entitled Le Petit Pont that earned a place at the Society des Artistes’ 1914 Salon. Eleven International Monogrammed Sterling Plates, Trivets, and a Salver, 20th Century,
Includes: In the Lord Saybrook Pattern, an S. Kirk monogrammed sterling silver salver; a pair of glass trivets with pierced silver-plated overlay; a larger glass trivet with starburst pattern and silver-plated pierced border; Small S. Kirk drawstring bag.
Approx. 38 troy oz.
Salver. Dia: 8 1/6 in.Plates: Dia: 6 in.
Condition
Large trivet has a crack across the starburst. Small scratches and dents throughout commensurate with age and use.
