William Sommer (1867-1949) Portrait of Tess/Portrait of a Lady (on verso), Oil on board, Signed and dated 1941 lower right. With original label. Framed dimensions: h: 25 1/2 x w: 22 1/4 in. H: 18 7/8 W: 15 1/2 in. Exhibited at the Cleveland Museum of Art 'William Sommer Memorial Exhibition,' 1950. Acquired directly from the artist by Arno Otto Bohme, a personal friend and neighbor.
