- Lot Description
A finely crafted bronze signed 'Bover' to the base, depicting Dante Alighieri holding a copy of his famous 'Divine Comedy'. His face and hands are of carved bone. The plinth is of dark marble, which retains two old collector's stickers on the underside. Ca. 1900.H: 14 3/4 in., (37.5 cm.)Very good with a nice patina to the bronze, some discoloration to carved sections consistent with age.
