- Lot Description
Cast as a standing armored warrior wearing a conical helmet over chainmail coif and hauberk, the figure clad in mail with a riveted cuirass over the torso, the left arm holding a circular shield with radiating geometric decoration centered by a boss, the right hand grasping a long-shafted battle axe with crescent blade, the figure further equipped with a short sword at the waist. The sculpture finely detailed throughout with careful articulation of chainmail, helmet ornament, armor plates, boots, and weaponry, conveying a restrained yet authoritative stance. Cast in dark patinated bronze and mounted on an integrally cast rectangular base, raised on a stepped stone plinth. The underside bearing a red circular foundry stamp reading "EUROPEAN BRONZE FINERY" and a scratched inscription.

Condition
Excellent with a nice patina. Small chip to one corner of the stone base.
